Visitor Information

  • The Association of Former Students has been asked for Silver Taps Roster, Class Roster and necessary utilities and software to give the site a bit of zip. If that does not happen, then we wing it.
  • A General Discussion Board has been added for general bull sessions for those who do the web thing. It is public for now but may have to be locked down if it gets out of hand with the lockdown restricted to a moderated join or a password protected directory.
  • A Class Database has been added for you to update your contact information and tell us anything you would like us to know about you.
  • Contact Forms have been added for each class agent and for the webmaster but addresses changed often. If one is bad, please let the webmaster know.
  • Some of the site may ultimately have to be password protected to protect us from spammers and other jerks looking to put us on their mailing list. Demographically we are a good marketing bet for iron pills, canes, wheel chairs and viagra.
  • Mickey is providing some photos from the class years
  • Jackson Barnes is sending pics of his boots.
  • This page will be cleaned up a bit and this white quadrant will be devoted to something of a collage of our college years and maybe a good quote.
  • The interior pages will be related to content and the menu system will either remain at the top or will be at the side with the contact links moved to the bottom of the page.
  • Spec wise, we will try to hold the site to fit an 800 x 600 monitor and to work with all browsers but if you have AOL, all bets are off as their new browser version 7.0 is supposed to be more proprietary (read interpretation errors) when reading standard HTML page construction. Macintosh users, please let the webmaster know if you experience any problems. While the code used in the site is generic, industry standard, computers do have a mind of their own, especially across different platforms and operating systems.
  • We have been limited to 10 megabytes in total site size so we cannot get carried away with Gee Whiz because of the size limitation as well as the limited competence of you webmaster.
