Norlan was shot down over Viet Nam and spent almost 8 years in "The Hanoi Hilton", probably as long as anyone there. We think he should qualify as one to be honored with the Memorial Scholarship.

William D. Welburn III ("Bulldog") died on June 12, 2006. He earned a degree in Economics .While at A & M he was a member of "The Fighting Texas Aggie Band" and 1st Lt. in the Maroon Band his senior year. He is survived by his wife Jacquelyn and 1 son and 2 daughters.

Hugh West passed away on September 23, 2003 in Conroe, Texas. He was a resident of Willis, TX and a retired partner of Circle Saw Builders Supply Co. of Houston, TX. He is survived by his wife Shirley, 1 daughter and 1 son.
